Hey George, I was looking though some old mags and came acrossed some cool stuff and one is a black and white pic of a bunch of pro-street cars, trans ams corvettes and camaro's sitting on the now fremont street ( with out the top over it) in Las Vegas and I know I saw this photo in color somewhere but can't remember it can you help, and second is I saw some trans am's (customs) in some of the mags and they call them selfs the "Sin city Rollers" of Las Vegas have you heard or can you tell any story's and or pic's. or a website with pic's or storys. Come on there has to be something out there. ;D

Hi Don, I know of a few Fiebird clubs out there, but none with that name. What mags did you see them in, I'll have to look and see what I can find. As to the F-body clubs there, there was a big one, people got in a tiff, and now they broke into two different clubs. I haven't been there since this happened, as I don't get involved in politic BS. This is way back in the late 70's to mid 80's the first mag is CARS and no year on it but it is Issue 2 here is the cover.  |

And this pic was in the insert of this mag, this is the one on fremont street I wish I could find the color version of this pic, There is just something about the neon lights bouncing off a trans am that make them look so cool.  |

Nice Don! I don't have the first magazine you showed, and I almost got in a magazine about that Van Nuys cruising. But it was a longer article, by Hot Rod, with more Trans Am photos. That one photo with the Trans Ams was taken right as I was going the other way. I burned a U, and raced as fast as traffic would allow, and I pulled in just as they were taking down a ladder that they used for other photos of the Trans Ams. Oh well. Alot of those modded cars ended up getting more mods from barney's Corvettes, which used the fiberglass parts as a company called Scorpion Fiberglass Trends. Alot got those huge whale tails like I have.  Thanks for posting those! ;D George |
