They look great! I figured you'd still be shoveling snow for a month. I must say, today was a great day. I had my shirt off all afternoon. ;D George

I have never taken apart a carb to rebuild. I have some spares, I should try and do a few. That carb came out great. Did you use Eastwood's stuff? And whose rebuild kit for the carb? George

thanks guys, the paint is my own mix. I like the eastwood paint but didnt use it on this carb. the green, no one makes. or have not found the right shade yet. the kit is from the auto parts store. they ordered it for me. I like Cliff's kit but dont like it for 85.00 . the kit I get is no better or worse then his. mine was 35.00. if I need the other parts not offered in either kit I will get it from cliff. buy the way if you dont know who I'm talking about click here. www.cliffshighperformance.com/really there isnt much to a Q-jet. on a basic rebuild I could do it in 8 hr or less. ( most of that time is the parts in the carb dip, glass beaded and back in the tank for a few hours. then throw it in the dish washer for a good wash and rinse ( that will pi$$ the wife off ) there not bad to do, just time consuming. when you mess with the air tubes , then you need a junk parts carb to try it on first. here is my 73 850cfm 455 sd carb on my 79 4 speed . George, this is the one I told you I got for 20 bucks 7-8 years ago. about 2k to the right person. this is eastwood paint

Did Randy machine your shifter bezel or is it a sticker? Cause I'd like him to do my shifter bezel.

the shifter bezel is new ( not a sticker ) and was a silver bezel. Randy made it gold.
cliff glass beads his carbs, and rewashes them.

Oh okay. My shifter bezel aint so hot lookin. Can't find any new for it.
I was always told not to glassbead or sandblast carbs. I had a friend sandblast a go cart carb, he thought it was all cleaned out, air, carb cleaner over and over. I gave a couple good taps with a hammer and had a bunch of sand fallout. He had nothin to say when he saw that.
