This is a weekly cruise in Somerville NJ, it goes all summer long and on a good night it can hit around 400 or 500 cars. Most of the time it is a nice show. I went last night and snapped some pics with the broken camera. ;D Also present but not pictured were a mint 98-02 base model Firebird as well as a gorgeous base model 70-73 Firebird in white. Both were driving and I couldnt get a shot (with the broken camera) The show was pretty crowded, and we got there a bit late so the pictures are not that great. Nice 20th. Leather, T-top. Someones crappy 84 T/A. It is really looking shabby now-a-days. A very nice dark red 69 Firebird Vert. And a black 69 coupe at night in the dark with a broken camera. Just bought a new camera on ebay this morning so hopefully I'll have some better shots next time. The funniest part of the night was watching a man lead his two sons up to a bright orange 69 Yenko SC Nova and say "This is a very early Mustang"... when there was literally a mint 66 Mustang sitting right infront of the Nova

I'll deny this if anyone ever says I said it ;D, but I really like the '67 fastback Mustang in front of the TTA. I had a white '67 fastback like that in HS.
That blue TA must've been in the "Rat Rod" class. ;D ;D ;D J/K Dan

My dad has a 71 Boss, so I was raised on Mustangs. I have actually been tossing around the idea of painting my hood and headlight doors rat-rod black. ;D (But I think it will end up blue again)

Great pictures Dan. You wouldn't want to live out here, the sun kills all paint jobs very fast. So what camera did you buy? I need to get another nice camera (pricy one at that ). Thanks for sharing, George

It is fun sharing pics with you guys. Not many crazy Firebird people around here in NJ for me to chat with. I just ended up buying the same camera off of ebay, it is several years old, Samsung S630, 6 megapixel, so it was only about 40 dollars. I did not feel like dropping over 100 for a new camera and memory card. The camera is good enough for point and shoot work.

Wow! Thanks for sharing! Those cars all look super. You know, first gens are the only cars I like without a rear spoiler. And that car with the weird tops, looks like they used two of those "pop top"s to make their own version of T-Tops. A neet idea. Now, that Formula. You had to buy a Mustang, when you could of gotten that Formula. ;D Ha! Oh, and I really love that '86 2+2 and that LS-1 Cat! ;D George

The show had a very good turnout for the middle of summer, usually it slows down a bit as people go on vacation. George, I'd love to have a Formy like that but the Mustang was much much cheaper. That LS1 Ventura is just too cool. I've seen it for a while now and finally caught up with the owner a few shows ago. Super nice guy and that is his wifes daily driver! He has several hot rods, from super clean, to this rat rod. The 2+2 was in pretty good condition for a NJ car. I felt down right silly showing up in my Mustang as there were Mustangs everywhere. I always thought it was bad bringing my ratty 84, but atleast it is different. Just got the classic insurance for it and I should have it registered with QQ plates soon.

By the looks of the Stang was in good company though.....is that a real '68 Shelby GT500 in the background of the 2+2 pic, then I see a California Special in there too, and what appears to be a '69 MACH 1. That's alot of cool Stangs in one place, that's for sure.

Scott, good eye for Mustangs.
There were quite a few rare mustangs there, including a very nice GT/CS, That Yellow 68 Vert is a GT500KR! There were also two new Super Snakes as well as atleast 6 or seven 69 Fastbacks, 4 or five of which were Mach-1's.
I hope to get to atleast one more Somerville cruise night this summer as long as the weather permits.

Went to the show again tonight. The camera battery was dead so no pictures from tonight. So you know what that means! There were lots of Firebirds there.
The three red first gens pictured above were there. There were three 2nd gen T/A's. Black 78, Red 78, white 79. Beautiful GTA pictured in the Flemington cruise night thread. Two 4thg gens, the NBM 98 Formy pictured above and a NBM 98 TA.
The most unusual vehicle I spotted was a 1979 Hurst Olds W30 Convertible! That has to be a rare one.

Thanks for sharing! Same thing happens to me camera-wise -- I go to take a shot of the thing I want and the screen flashes 'LOW BATTERY'. So I started using the recharables and bring the extra ones with me in case it tells me low battery again - then of course there's no good cars to take pics of! How did you break your camera? I think the one I broke was a Samsung S630 too, but it's that not old - maybe a year or two. I'll have to go look at it again.
