Well I decided to take a trip to my local junkyard hopeing to find some f-body stuff. What do I stumble upon, 4 ROWS OF F-BODIES. camaros, 228's firebirds, T/A's an espirit and a king jewel. A 80 to 90% complete 1975 firebird formula. I haven't checked the vin yet so I'm not sure if it's a 400 or 455. I can't stop thinking about it and I gotta wait 4 more days till I get back. I'm going back this coming weekend and see whats really up with that car, plus pick up some f bird parts and brows the whole yard.

Too cool! What condition is the hood (I always loved those early Formula hoods)? Also, what color is the interior? Good luck, George

Sadface. The motor, a 400, is seized and the guy won't pull it out. I dont blame him, he'd have to move about 40 cars to get it out, so thats done. It's red with black int.
I got an almost brand new 3 core rad, perfect fan shroud, under dash a/c vent, winsheild washer motor cap, a perfect red fuel door lens and a carb throttle return spring all for $90.
I'm gonna make acouple more trips back, theres so much T/A stuff in good shape.

A red furl door lens is for a regular Firebird. Trans Ams and Formulas used the smoked lens. Just a head's up. But I do have a perfect red lens with the opening for the Bird, which is correct for a 1981 Firebird, it is NOS. Sounds like you had a nice score! George

Yeah I know. It orig had smoked lenses but they were busted up so I had to replace. I like the red lenses, mostly cause everyone with a 79-81 uses the smoked ones anymore I thought it would be a cool change.
I found the red with bird repro for $70 but I picked this one up for $10.
Yeah, I'm gonna be makein a few more trips back
