Hey everyone! I have an '88 that I need to change the fog light bulb. I bought the bulbs, but am wondering if I need to remove the headlight to get access to the foglight as there doesn't seem to be access from anywhere else? Thanks, Kristin

Hi Kristin! Great to see you here! Post up some photos here for the others to see. As for your foglight, you have to be very careful on replacing the bulb. I have heard that getting your fingers on the bulb will cause it to burn out real fast. So, use some kind of gloves. I have pulled the fog lights out of the car, from the front. I never had to remove anything else. Hope this helps, George

Thanks Right now it's in the shop because the a/c compressor started making noises so I'll have to wait til I get it back to deal with the fog light...it was cheaper per bulb to get the package of two, so I'll just change them both at the same time. So here's another question... is there any numbers on how many of the regular Trans Ams in '88 got the digital dash? I think I ran across numbers on them for the GTA's, but not the T/A's. Here's a couple pictures I took a couple months ago... it's got 125k miles on it now.

I have not seen the numbers for that listing for regular Trans Ams. I would doubt that they had them, for that, or mostly the other options as well, except for maybe WS6. You could try and contact either Pontiac direct (while they are still around), or PHS. Your car looks great! You should make another road trip, but bring this bird by, it would make some great photos with our cars. George

Thanks George I got the fog light bulbs changed from the front of the car (and I remembered the gloves). Changing the bulbs ended up not being so hard, but putting back the plastic pieces that go on each side of the lenses was a pain, and dropped one down into the front bumper a couple of times. But it's nice having fog lights again! Now what I need is for it to stop raining every day so I can wash the cars! I'd love to take a road trip in it one of these days; it's a really nice car to drive.

Your welcome! We have been getting clouds building up every afternoon, but no rain. We have been in the mid 90s for quite awhile now. Just wearing shorts and sandals. Not sure I want the mid 100s coming pretty soon. I think I'll go back to Florida. George
