yet another hobby of mine, Is trains. Yep, from the big ones (I take tons of pictures of them), to the smaller scales, like "N" Guage, "HO" Gauge, "O" Guage, and even "G" Scale. I have alot of each of them. And today, while driving around town, we stopped into the Powerhouse (here in Kingman, AZ., it's a landmark and tourist attraction here in town-and it's on Route 66), and found a Model Train Club with a setup in the Powerhouse, as it's National Train Day today. So, it looks like I'll be hanging around some more people in town here, and doing more things. Anyone else into trains? George

Yup! Just no room for it at present! Don't know if I told you, I used to drive our LRT (C-Train), for our transit system here for about 4 years. I came off it about 15 years ago. I've been on the bus ever since. Someone made a model of our train using LEGO. here are some cool photos of their work: www.mocpages.com/moc.php/95927

This last weekend, They had another gatherning of the local Train Club. I was asked to bring out a few cars, to run around their tain track display, so I did. Lisa took a few pictures of my cars on their track. I took some of my HO cars for their use. Here, is my 5 car articulating container car, in Southern Pacific colors, going around their display. Another shot (it's hard to get the digital camera to shoot the shot right away, there is always a delay) And here, is my auto carrier, which for some reason, Lisa got the shot just as it derailed and fell over (I guess the trun was too sharp). Here, you can see my cars going around their track. Looking in the background, you can see the big Kingman Power House (which was used many years ago to power most of Northern Arizona), and behind that, which you can't make out, is our BNSF tracks. And in this shot, you can see my cars, and see that their train display was held at the Kingman Train Park, with the big 1/1 scale 4-8-4 ATSF engine and caboose) Too bad I don't have room to make my own track to play with. Hey George, great pics. It is pretty neat seeing HO outside. I remember stopping at that park with you two the first time I went out there.
As you know I am big into O and Standard gauge pre and postwar Lionel.
I also dabbled in N gauge for a while.

Well Dan, Post up some photos of your collection! I am buying a huge Dash 9 Santa Fe (Warbonnet paint) in "G" Scale. I unpacked alot of my collection the other day, and it got me back into it again. I love my hobbies, it always keeps me busy and out of trouble. Well, except for spending money. George

(it's hard to get the digital camera to shoot the shot right away, there is always a delay) You need to move up to a Nikon Digital SLR, there is never a delay, I totally enjoy mine! Nice Shots! Kev

Ya, I have a great 35mm camera, but got those little digital cameras to play with. I have been thinking about a nice digital SLR. Only problem is, when I really think about going to get one, it seems that they have a newer version out with more MP. So I wait abit more. I think I'll bite the bullet this summer for sure. George

Ya, I was going to get a 10mp, then saw a 12 mp, now I see 18mps! You are right, I will never get one. I have to stop on some hobbies, and spurge myself on getting one again. That, or dig out my 35mm. Ha! George

Yesterday, I bit the big one. I picked up a huge "G" Scale (also known as the Garden Scale, or 1/29th scale) Aristocraft dash 9 Diesel Engine in Santa Fe colors. This engine is just like the ones running thru our town today. And a close up, showing the enginneer. Maybe someday, I'll set it up in the back yard. George
