This third gen car is a 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA, 5.7L V8, nicely optioned, two door hard top with 120K miles. Most of the GTAs were heavily optioned cars for more dealer profit. This car was an early production car and was ordered with manuel roll up windows and no power door locks. It did come with power mirrors and the power seat. The option Y84 code is listed on the RPO code list. It is original as the day it left the factory with no accidents and the original paint. I purchased the car from the niece of the original owner – the car had been in the same family for 20 years. The car was purchased from Goodwin Blue Ribbon Pontiac off of the dealer showroom floor. I purchased the car from the owner's niece locally in Connecticut in 2005, I am the 3rd owner of this car. This Trans Am left the factory with a 350 motor. The four speed 700R4 transmission is stock with factory WS6 suspension and the car is verified as a GTA by PHS and the console codes. The car has been maintained regularly, has new plug wires, plugs, air filter, trans filter and fluid, new starter, new battery, new alternator and a new Water Pump. It came from the factory painted dark metallic red with a camel interior, deluxe interior, gauges, roll up windows, power door locks, front disk brakes, AM FM cassette radio, drivers and passenger side remote mirrors and electric rear hatch. It has the PHS documentation packet. The car has the gold GTA diamond spoke 8 inch wide wheels and the original keys. This car is a driver and not a show car. It is driven hard and likes to cruise. The wide torque curve comes early on these motors and they love to squeal the tires if you punch it too hard.
