Looks like a good project. The new sheet metal makes it pretty appealing. Much easier to get it all at once.
Is that Verdoro green? That is one of my favorite colors for 68 and 69.
I really like the white stripe. I think the car will look great with the green body, Rally's, and stripe.
Good luck with the resto!

Very nice! Will it be a stock restore? Or are you going to play with it? You say it's her car, so does that mean she gets the bigger faster engine than your cars? ;D I agree with Dan, I too, like that color the best for early Firebirds (well, next to the '69 white with blue stripes ). Keep us updated with photos and stories. George

Nothing wrong with changing the engine and having all go. But with the brakes not being powered, it may take awhile to slow down. I got my old 1961 Ford ex-Police car up to 110 mph. Then the light in front of me turned red. That car couldn't stop for anything. Finally, I did a 4 wheel lockup, hoping to stop the car. It did, finally. About an half inch from the car in front of me. The poor cheerleader driving the car in front of me nearly peed her pants. ;D It worked, as she would talk to me after that. Ha! About my crazy driving! ;D George
