Nice! Too bad I sold a running 1972 455 HO engine about 10 years ago. I got $2500 for it. I was going to drop it into my 1981 modded turbo Trans Am. Looks like a super nice project. Will it be a keeper? George

Sweet, looks like a nice project to have. I really need to get myself a 2nd Gen someday too.

Will it be a keeper? George I know we like to say they all are, but I am hoping to keep the 79w72 Formula and this one. Sadly, the 37k original mile TATA will have to go when finished to clear funds for this and the Formy's resto. I wish I had that motor as well, although at that price it would have been more than I gave for this car ;D Be sure to keep your eyes open for any HO parts out there though, and some nice rust free quarters would be nice!

Saw a 1972 455 HO engine for sale, In December's Hemmings Motor News. It's a YB casting. ;D Says it's a rebuilt long block. Here is the phone number: (616)897-7679 No price. I'm sure it's an arm and a leg. Still though, it would bring the value of your project up. Let us know. George
