Here's a couple of early third gen ads I cut out of the local papers at the time. Here is a convertible ad: And here, the Tojan conversion: Enjoy, George

The Bob Warren Showroom. That Straman is sitting where my Daytona was sitting on the day I bought it. Way too Cool !!!!!!!!!! I saw, sat and looked under the hood of that turbo-vert.

I just wish I wrote down the Vin number of that car, to see if it's still around. A test drive would have been super! I wonder if it is still around, in someone's collection. George

Ya Dave, It's funny. When that car was new, everyone liked it. I did, except for the price. Now, years later, everyone hates it. I get the same thing with my black modded '81 Turbo Trans Am. These people don't know much about cars back then, how everyone had one pretty much on every street corner. You couldn't sneeze without seeing one next to you. Early Firebirds (first and second gens) all had woodgrain dashes, and when the thirdgens came out with the plain black plastic dashes, alot of companies came out with different wood overlays. Quite a few people back then, bought them for their cars. Now, anything that was popular back then, is looked down upon. Too bad, they are a piece of Firebird History. George
