Hey guys, I'm looking at a CETA but having a hard time finding info on them, especially the Daytona cars. Anybody have some production figures, options, pictures, websites to look at, and what made a Daytona car different? Also I've seen two different Daytona door stickers, why is that and which one is right?
Thanks in advance, Steve

Thanks George As for the stickers, I've seen two for sale plus the one I'm looking at with this sticker on the doors, personally I'm not feeling it but wondering what to make of it and if it's legit?

I think that the one in the photo is right, for the Festival cars. That's what happens when you use a yellow car at Daytona. ;D You working on a trade for your 20th TTA hardtop? Just wondering, George

You working on a trade for your 20th TTA hardtop? Yeah, not for the one pictured but another like it - t-top automatic car. The more I read about it the more interesting the car becomes but there is very little info to document one of the Daytona cars with which makes putting a value on it that much harder Steve

Not yet, I contacted Daytona International Raceway and they said they do not keep any information on the pace and parade cars Do you think Jim would have any info on the Daytona cars? I figured most of his info would be PMD stuff, and on the newer cars I didnt think he even had info.

I just found some pics of a festival car that was on display in Daytona in 02. I also have pics of one of the pace cars from the T/A nats. (the one Jay Leno drove). I'll try and post em up soon. The car on display at Daytona did not have the white background on the door decal. No luck finding out about the festival cars on the CETA boards? Looking at the geocities site, it looks like the actual pace cars had a clear background, while the festival cars had the white... I would guess that Jim may actually have had the info at some point. Just because he had good info on the 30th's. I do not know if PMD took the info back, or if Jim still has it and s not allowed to distribute it. Since he knows you he may be able to give you his professional opinion

I know that there is someone who has all the info on the '89 20th AnniversaryTurbo Trans Am pace and festival cars, but I never heard of anyone who had the Daytona stuff. I don't believe that Jim has the numbers of the cars, but maybe he does. I know they are trying to collect it for the 30th Anniversary Trans Am, don't know about the Collector's Edition. Good luck. I would figure a good chance, if the car was shipped to Florida. Any docs on that, for the car you are looking at? George
