Thanks for the heads up on this Dan. Sad days indeed. I'll never part with mine. I'll starve first. It'll be on the U-haul when I go Up or Down.

When all else fails... we can always sleep in them. haha. Sad to see GM let them go, but I am glad they will be out on the market... more of a chance for me to own one of them someday I can understand why they are letting them go, they are probably costing them money to have them insured, stored, etc...

Probably they are selling them, so they can get their Christmas bonuses. I forgot to post this up yesterday. I would love to have a few of them. Jim Matterson asked me back at the 2002 TANats if I wanted to buy the Gold Rush Trans Am. I wanted the Indy Pace car, and he said I was nuts. George

I watched 4 $&%^#* hours of Barrett- Jackson last night... I wanted to see the 25th... When do they go to commerical, yup during the 25th! I about lost it, haha! According to the website the 25th SEMA showcar went for 46,200. That is a big deal for any 25th, It sure would have been nice to see it on TV. Im still all ticked off about it, haha. Then they had the Lingenfelter Firebird, it went for 27,000. They also had the Quasar blue TT 91 T/A. It went for 43,000 very quickly. It seemed kind of strange... Now we just sit back and wait t osee them on ebay...

Ya, I was busy myself. So I couldn't watch it. It seems that every time a Trans Am comes up, off to commerical they go. What I like, it the guys talking about the cars, run their fingers all over the car. I want to go one day, but I think it would be like SEMA. So much going on, to see everything. They sell lots of gas station type stuff, as well as other car related stuff. Not only me, but I'm sure your dad would have a blast, and come home broke. If he had any money to come home with. I am out of room to store/have anymore more stuff, but I just keep getting more. Picked up a few boxes of 1971 Formula stuff, like AC stuff, and power steering stuff. It was all removed from a '71 Formula, as they made it a race car. I even picked up the hood (plain Firebird one, with a snorkle hood scoop molded on, wih a hole cut in it). I may put it on Lisa's car for awhile. George

My dads friend went out to Barret-Jackson a couple of years ago and said it was very cool to see.
He said he wouldnt buy a car there (because you cant thoroughly research and inspect them before hand). He has a nice Shelby and Vette collection.

Ya, I wouldn't buy a car there either, unless it's direct from GM. But the other car related stuff I might buy. George
