I was looking at an 80 TTA pace car at a cruise night this past Tuesday.
The car was recently repainted, and had repro decals installed.
One thing I noticed was that the two tone door lettering actually consisted of two different decals. It looked like the red went down first, then the black was applied over the red to give the lettering the two-tone look.
Were the original decals done in this fashion? (I am assuming both colors were originally printed on one decal)

Interesting, I have never heard that before or seen it.

Where have I been? I just saw this. I have seen decal making places say they can make anything, and at car swap meets, they say they can do it cheap. maybe it was something like this. I know, because Lisa was checking out windshield decals for her '91 Firebird. George
