Watch for the GOES-O Weather Satellite to be launched today June 27th. I was the GOES-O Payload Test Director in charge of the test development and testing for the GOES-N, O and P spacecraft. Some cool stuff on Youtube. www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/GOES-O/main/index.htmlGOES-O Rescheduled for Saturday Fri, 26 Jun 2009 04:33:25 PM PDT Delta IV rocket launch teams scrubbed the launch of the GOES-O weather satellite because of thunderstorm cells within 10 miles of Launch Complex 37 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. Launch teams will try again Saturday. Forecasters are calling for a 40 percent chance of favorable weather on launch day. Tomorrow's launch window opens at 6:14 p.m. and extends to 7:14 p.m. EDT. Live launch coverage will begin at 4:30 p.m. on NASA TV, and NASA's Launch Blog will provide the GOES-O launch countdown milestones I am in the video some where during the vibration test.

Yep, Sat here in Daytona Beach waiting for it to go. They kept delaying it over and over. Then the news said they would break into programming, for the launch. We did hear it, and saw the smoke trail going up. Pretty neat. Too bad the Shuttle mission didn't go as well. George
