Read this letter in our local paper - pretty interesting:
Would you like to read the health bill that has been proposed for all of us? If you do not have time, someone has done it for us. Take the time to read it so you are informed what might be in store for us if it is passed.

Some of the items in the health care plan now in the works: (Yes, someone is reading the immense number of pages! But it ain't your representatives in Washington, D.C.!)
Page 22 - mandates the government will audit books of all employers that self-insure!
Page 30 Sec 123 - There will be a government committee that decides what treatments benefits you get (read euthanasia).
Page 29 lines 4 to 16 - Your health care is rationed! You can only get so much "care" per year.
Page 42 - The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your health-care benefits for you. You have no choice!
Page 50 Section 152 - Health care will be provided to all non-U.S. citizens, illegal or otherwise.
Page 58 - The government will have real-time access to individuals' finances and a national ID healthcard will be issued!
Page 59 lines 21 to 24 - Government will have direct access to your bank accounts for elective funds transfer.
Page 65 Sec 164 - a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in unions and community organizations (ACORN).
Page 72 Lines 8 to 14 - Government is creating a health care exchange to bring private health-care plans under government control.
Page 84 Sec 203 - Government mandates all benefit packages for private health-care plans in the exchange.
Page 85 Line 7 - The Government will ration your health care!
Page 91 Lines 4 to 7 - Government mandates linguistic appropriate services. For example, translation for illegal aliens.
Page 95 Lines 8 to18 - Government will use groups such as ACORN and Americorps to sign up individuals for government health-care plan.
Page 102 Lines 12 to 18 - Medicaid-eligible individuals will be automatically enrolled in Medicaid. No choice.
Page 124 lines 24 to 25 - No company can sue the government on price fixing. No "judicial review" against government monopoly.
Page 126 Lines 22 to 25 - Employers must pay for health care for part-time employees and their families.
Page 149 Lines 16 to 24 - Any employer with payroll $400,000 and above who does not provide public option pays 8-percent tax on all payroll.
Page 150 Lines 9 to 13 - Business with payroll between $251,000 and $400,000 that doesn't provide public option pays 2 to 6 percent tax on all payroll.
Page 167 Lines 18 to 23 - Any individual who doesn't have acceptable health care according to government will be taxed 2.5 percent.
