Nice score! I am still looking for those new 2010 Hot Birds with the red wheels. I also need those two White Lightning Jphnny Lightning 1/24th scale Trans Ams. I end up buying 1/18th scale Lane Exact Detail Firebirds instead. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Good score on that two car set of those '87 Blue/silver/GM Trans Am Greenlights. I also like those custom '69 TAs. You should have him do some white ones. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) My eyesight is getting pretty bad at my old age. That small scale is hard for me to do anything nice custom. Still though, I may try something this winter. I like customizing 1/18th scale cars better. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) George ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

Cool. Nice buys. Yeah, I also like customizing 1/18th or 1/24th scale cars more. I don't do so well customizing the smaller cars.

Thank You Guys for the cool comments. I would like to do some custom work myself but time is a issue with me. I don't have any. I think I start with the smaller scale and work up to the bigger one. That way if I miss up a Hot Wheel. It's only a dollar I lost. Those 1/24 to 1/18 can get kinda pricey. So I want to get more experience before I start on the bigger cars. Oh, guys don't say you are too old for smaller scale. The guy that made these is older enough to be my Grandpa or older.

Ha! Ya, but I may be old enough to be a dad to people here. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Even though I have no kids myself. ;D George ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

The price issue is true. But I think it is easier to do with the 1/24 and 1/18 because the parts are bigger and easier to deal with. Be fore I started customizing some stuff in the bigger scales I practiced with the plastic models.

I might try that. I have some plastic models new in the box just collecting dust. Now I just have to find time. I hardly get any time to myself anymore.

Yep! I started with plastic models as well. I built one stock, and one modded, the way I wish I could have ordered the car. Both are 1985 Trans Am models. They are up here, somewhere on the site. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) George ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

I know it's not a T/A, but just to show what you can do. Heres a custom set up I recently did on 69 camaro model. All new rear suspension and motor. First, the new power plant. The orig motor is the orange one on the right, a 69 427 big block. New, 440c.i. crate motor/trans. ![](http://i565.photobucket.com/albums/ss99/transamfan1981/DSCF1074.jpg) ![](http://i565.photobucket.com/albums/ss99/transamfan1981/DSCF1059.jpg) Next, new suspension. ![](http://i565.photobucket.com/albums/ss99/transamfan1981/DSCF1044.jpg) ![](http://i565.photobucket.com/albums/ss99/transamfan1981/DSCF1046.jpg) ![](http://i565.photobucket.com/albums/ss99/transamfan1981/DSCF1047.jpg) Full on chrome race suspension with dual torque arms and tension springs to reduce axle twist. Not sure if a spring set up like that would work in real life, but it looks cool on here. I just need to make a new axle tube for it. ![](http://i565.photobucket.com/albums/ss99/transamfan1981/DSCF1071.jpg) BTW: I'm kinda steeling your post with this, sorry.

Thats ok transamfan1981! I love the 69 Camaros and anytime you can give advice or some cool pics. Go right ahead. I'm a very easy person to get along with. ;D I have found that some guys get easily offended on alot of message boards. I don't really understand it. I was brought up to have a thicker skin I guess. So if you have pics (I love pics of cars and girls ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ) post'em.
