I found a site selling the Minilites by Vintage Wheel Works. These are the wheels that most racing teams used in the Trans Am series races on the mustangs and camaros How do you guys think these would look on a trans am? I think they'd be cool lookin. Steve B.

Those are cool on the mustang but is it me or do they not look like the one on the mustang. As far as them on a trans am, I think they would look cool.

You're right they are diff. I decided to look into that. Well, here's what I figured out, the one's I found are minilite styled. But... there is a company that makes genuine minilites, the one's on the mustang. The only problem is, the company is located in England. I'm about to send'em an e-mail see what it would cost to ship a set of wheels over. Probably more than the wheels are worth. Well, just for fun I'll find out. Here's a link to their site, if anyone wants to check them out. These guys are the real deal. www.minilitewheels.com/products.htmSteve B.

just got an e-mail back from minilite in england. For a T/A wheel 15x8 shipping would be $70 a wheel from there to the u.s. then about another $60 to ship to my door via FedEx. Going to find out how much each wheel will cost. Just to figure out if I could get'em anytime soon.

Just got a load of info. There is a minilite dealer here in the u.s. in Akron Ohio. So minilite ships the rims from the factory to the dealer in ohio who then ships them out to the buyer. A T/A wheel 15x8 with standard offset of 4 1/2, if they are traditional silver they will be $1,080. The wheels are $270 each and come with hardened steel inserts, spun alloy center caps and chrome finish lugs. From minilite to the dealer shipping will be $70 a wheel, then from the dealer to me via FedEx will be about $60, $15 a wheel if shipped to a business. Total would be $1,320. You can choose to have them painted, most popular colors are mid-gray metallic, black (satin or gloss), white, and gold. Coloring is $15 a wheel. I would choose gold. Since most wheels are custom made to order a non-refundable deposit of $550 is required. From order to your door will be around 6 to 10 weeks. Or if you want you can choose air freight direct which will take acouple weeks out of the recieve time.
If anyone would like I can give you the ohio dealers contact info
