November, December, January, and into February passed painfully slow with the car parked at a place called
www.quinnsecurity.ca/.
They do show quality installs, but as I was supplying the majority of my own components, etc, they left me on the back burner for a long, long time.
They seemed focused on other in/out daily sales/installs of auto security.
By the end of January, I felt as though I had waited long enough, and had threatened to pull out a car in early stages, to finish elsewhere.
The interior was mostly removed except the dash, carpet, and front seats. The maze of heavy gauge wiring that went in was a sight to behold.
A guy named Dave who worked there, shared the same passion for the car, as I, and put his experience to work for me..... Once we convinced his boss
to go ahead and let him finish the car!
He transferred the alarm from my truck first.
(I wasn't going to buy
another 2G system, and I valued the car
more!)
It was a Compustar 2W8000FMR. A great model, with lots of features.

Trunk activation/protection,Horn honk Alert, Anti-theft Immobbilizer, Piezo (pain) Siren, Hood Protection, Remote Keyless door locks, 2 way pager functionality and remote starting capability.
A future upgrade I want is called Computrack, a GPS Real-time owner tracking system as supplied on their website.
While in the car, he was troubleshooting all wiring issues, and adjusted and lubed lots of stuff like windows and door locks to operate better.
Their final bill tallied in the direct neighborhood of 7G, but was a show quality install!
I supplied the 5G of audio/video stuff I had purchased... during the summer.
In went:
Alpine AI-NET DVD-VIDEO/C IVAD310 (A FLIP OUT 7 INCH DVD MONITOR WITH AM/FM/CD/DVD/NAVIGATION) functionality
Alpine DVD-ROM NAVIGATION NVE872A (head unit which supplies uplink to satellite imagery and tracks real time image map of co-ordinates)
Alpine 4 channel PDX AMP (A digital amp which supplies clean amplification through 4 channels)
Alpine PDX 600W Mono AMP ( a dedicated digital amp to serve the subwoofer)
10" Square Kicker L5 900W Subwoofer (for which he built a custom box in the trunk. Never seen anything like it...it's perfect! //P.S. I haven't/won't really crank it!
Kicker KS40 - in dash 4" two-way co-axial round speakers
Kicker KS69 - 6" by 9" 2 way co-axial deck lid speakers
Extended warranties, blah blah blah.
Sirius Sportster Satellite Radio system
Escort Radar Detector - simple enough for me to do myself!!
Midland 1001Z 40 channel CB Radio (mini size) in ash tray location
3 or 4 different kinds of antennas, etc.
Interior re-installed as before, mirror perfect, no-mistakes. This guy was an 2nd Generation F-body expert!
