When must you really obey road signs?

Ok, I just have to share this one.

In my area of the planet, Texas, we have this
crazy road sign that always makes me laugh.



Think about this one a bit.

Here's a sign telling folks to obey other signs...

So, let's think about who exactly needs this sign.

1) Plenty of folks ignore ALL signs, so they wouldn't
benefit from this sign.

2) A small number of folks actually DO read and follow
the instructions on signs, THEY wouldn't need this.

3) Are their really folks that read and ignore signs
"unless" another sign says they need to follow the
other signs? I guess so, because THEY would need this.

And if that's not funny enough, someone at the highway
department KNOWS that those folks are out there and NEED
this sign.

Does that mean, if it's not a warning sign, say like a speed limit sign, you don't have to obey them?

1, 2 or 3? ;D
