Hello everyone. I just got myself registered over here finnaly.

Been meaning to do so for awhile now.

I have been an active member over at Hitmans website (78ta.com) for a little over a year now

For those that don't know me, I am working on a 79 Esprit that will be cloned (but with a twist), It has T-roof, 301, rally wheels, deluxe interior, and tilt steering for it's options.

I am bantering with myself back and forth whether or not to use the 79 style nose or the 78 style (can't decide yet) and it will get painted crimson metalic red with black accents.

I will be trying to find Recaro Daytona NASCAR seats front and back to go with the black and red theme. I had the seats in my clutches a couple of months ago from Fixitrt over at transamcountry but I had to let them go for the time being.

When I'm ready I will look for them again and see what I can come up with.

I have a goal to try and get the car back together for the 2012 NATS but we'll see. I won't loose sleep if it's not done by then.

Nice to see that you are saving a Firebird.
I sold a rear set of those seats (by the way, the red/black seats are for a '81 Daytona/NASCAR Turbo Trans Am, not the '80 Indy Turbo Trans Am).
I would have tried to get those front seats myself, as I love Recaro seats, but the shipping would have killed me.
As for the nose change, that is up to you.
I myself don't really mind either one.
I too, have cars that I've been working on for over 10 years, so don't worry about it. ;D
When you get a chance, post up some photos, as we all love photos. ;D

Nexus you will find that George and the other members here are a great resource. Noticed that you had posted on the Charter Oak Firebirds Message Board Last Night. If you every get the chance visit Goerge and Lisa. They have one hell of a collection of Firebird stuff. You will need to plan atleast a day.
