Hi everyone. I found this board off of a few links from another board and decided to register to post... also to see if there was some topics of interest to give and take of Firebird information.
I am a Firebird and Trans Am owner, basically a Pontiac guy most of my life. I am an active member at Charter Oak Firebirds for about 5 years and a member of their site and Message Board.
You may also know me from Firebird Nation where I have been around for almost two years. I am working on a 1978 Trans Am Bandit Tribute car. The motor is the original 400 and it also has the stock 4 speed, WS6 option, gold diamond spoke wheels, deluxe interior, PW, PB and AM/FM radio. The AC has been removed and is in storage.
I aalso have a 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible and a 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA. The GTA is 100 per cent factory stock and I really enjoy driving this car the most.
All of my cars are drivers but I occasionally enter car shows and pick up a few awards.
I have been working on these car for 5 years, they always need something done...lol ;D
Hope to meet some of you guys too.

Welcome to our little site. Nice group of cars you have. Feel free to post up pictures, as I'm sure every website asks for. ;D I know the feeling on always working on these cars. My 20th TTA is down now, due to a starter going out. I jacked the car up, and still have trouble fitting my body under the car! That, and the fact that I'm getting old. I fought with that thing for 3 hours now, and it's still winning! I'm sure I'll win in the end though. ;D Just not today! Hope you enjoy our site, George

Hi George,
Thanks for the welcome here. I will try to spend some time looking around the boards and get used to the site lay out. I remember reading your posts from other message board sites ...
You always had some interesting posts and certainly a envious flock of Firebirds in the garage.
Good to stop by and post.

Ya, I have been on a ton of Firebird/Trans Am websites, even modding for a couple of them. For some reason, I have trouble with Firebird Nation. Everytime I would try and read a post, or to post, it would kick me out. This happened after the last upgrade they did. I got tired of nothing working, so I gave up. Thirdgen gives me trouble somethings as well, so I don't post very much there either. I am not mad at anyone or any site, just gave up when I run into problems. Now that the weather is better (warm, not freezing), I spend a ton of time outside. With my cars, working in the yard, and Jeeping in my Cheorkee 4x4. Almost every weekend now, there is a local cruise or show going on in this town. We don't frown on anyone not posting, or not even showing up, nor do we frown on posting other websites or anything. Just no slamming at all here, on someone's car. So far, no problems at all with anyone. ;D Hope you enjoy your stay, George

Thanks for the welcome here. I want to add that Lisa has two nice Pontiac Firebirds... a rarer 1991 third gen car and a really hot 1974 Trans Am 455. Is the 1991 your daily driver too?
It seems that George and Rick already know each other pretty well. Rick and I are members of a Firebird Club in Connecticut and during the cruise season we see each other once or twice a week.

Yes the '91 is my daily driver. She's got 165,207.2 miles right now. She had 91,9xx on her when I got her.

Welcome to our little site. Start a new tread and post some pictures for others who don't know you yet. The world gets just alittle bit smaller every day now, with the internet. George
