Ok, here's "What the heck is it Part 3..." I would imagine that many of your have seen this, but might not have recently. Now, with the ID, I'd like to hear why it's needed, why the rings, and maybe if you are brave... why is it the color it is. <grin> Joe

The ignition coil side of a GM High Energy Ignition Rubber Arc Seal/Washer.
Prevents arcing to ground of the high coil voltage through the carbon brush/spring.
The seal/washer is coated with dielectric grease and the female cut rings seal to the coil pack male rings for a tight seal.
Color: Black = Rubber, Red = Silicone or could it be Mallory or MSD Red

Nice job, and... correct, the orange like is higher hear from what I read.
