Nice article. And a great read. When Iw as out at SEMA, we were driving home, when I looked up, and yelled at Lisa to get out the camera. We were right under the fight pattern of Las Vegas International Airport, and flight of two F/A-18s landed together followed by a single F/A-18. I figured maybe Nellis, but not at an International Airport. On my computer, I can get them way up closer than these photos show. But boy, were they loud! Thanks for sharing! George

Nice pics. A few months ago, I was at a Friday night cruise in and I heard this really loud rumble. I knew it was some kind of aircraft. I really thought it was going to crash right in the middle of the cruise in. I looked up and I saw an F-18 flying by. It made a few passes overhead. It made a few long sweeping turns. It was fun to watch. I heard on the news that F-18 was going to be part of an airshow in Massachusetts the next day, so the pilot was using the airspace to practice some maneuvers for the show. You're right, they are LOUD.

Very nice article, thanks for posting it.
George, when I was in Vegas I saw a few NVNG C-130's flying out of McCarren, but no Hornets and nothing fun out of Nellis.
