Being Christmas Day today,
I am home watching Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas on cable TV.
I am very displeased with the program.
In an hour, they had 4-5 VWs go thru.
Really, a VW?
And, on top of that, every Firebird (so far two) that I have seen, the annoucer gets quite a bit wrong with the car.
First I saw, was a 1968 Firebird.
The stupid guy says that it's good Pontiac is gone, or maybe not.
What?
Then he goes on to say that the car has wheels that stick out (the car had aftermarket wheels), has dropped the price of the car.
Really?
Then how come they not only don't say that when a Camaro has them?
Now, I just saw a 1979 Trans Am Special Edition Trans Am with the 301 engine 4 speed.
The one clown says that the car should have the WS6 engine.
Really?
I didn't know there was a WS6 engine.
The other guy corrected the first guy, but still.
Don't open your stupid mouth.
Then, the second guy goes on to say that the car has the "chicken" on it, and that you had to order it on this car for 95 dollars.
Again, really?
I remember that having the Special Edition Package, you got the hood bird standard as part of the package.
Then, he goes on to say that the engine was a Pontiac engine, not a GM engine build in a GM plant.
Duh!
All the engines Pontiac ever used were GM engines.
Then he also went on to say that the engine was build in Pontiac, Michigan.
As you can tell, I am no longer watching Barrett-Jackson.
