This weekend was the semi-annual big swap meet and I have a couple of good stories for ya... Not much as far as T/A stuff. Infact I only spent about $10 there... So... I spotted a white IROC Firebird nose (he was asking $550). The seller was at the IROC auction and had bought a few things (a carb, odds and ends) And then he told me about the 1/24 Action Prototype he bought! He said there were a handful of each of the Action cars that had been sent to IROC for approval. He said they were going for big $... so you better keep your eyes peeled. My favorite find was press-release/ promotional paper work for the Curtiss-Wright X-19 VTOL that never made it into production. 2 were built and only one survives (I saw it at the NMUSAF this past august). Apparently the guys neighbor (old lady) was just throwing all of it away... The guy also says he has lots of plans/ blueprints of the Curtiss-Wright engine plant, the X-19, and Caldwell airport... ;D I'll be giving him a call on Monday. I'm hoping I can get it cheap. he saved it because it was too nice to trash, but he dosent really want the stuff. So... those were the fun stories. Not many T/A's there

Sounds like you had a fun day! I really miss the swap meets. I mean the big car ones that I always went to out in Los Angeles. I go to the small swap meet out here, and I have gotten some cool collectable stuff, just no Firebird/Trans Am stuff yet. I'll be out in Los Angeles this next week, but not during any swap meets. Good luck with getting some of that stuff. So, you didn't buy that IROC nose? If you did, and with my rear IROC bumper, we could almost build a car. You remember my B-1 bomber small booklet? I've had about 10 people try and buy that off me. Sorry, not for sale. ;D George
